Techwood 1200W Infrared Ceramic Single Hot Plate(Black)

My first foray into infrared cooking. Gets hot fast and works great. Maybe it's me, but it seems as fast as a gas flame. Only downside, it stays HOT for quite a while after it's turned off. Have to be mindful of that. Otherwise, working well for me, and that's why I gave it 5 stars.

Takes a while to get used to IR Hot plate cooking. I'd rather have four of these than an old gas cooktop or anything else. Yes I'm a bit obsessed with culinary arts and cooking appliances. Incredible value and performance. Great adjustability, that's really important. Because of the responsiveness of the cooktop. Even for a wok, more than enough power. I'd go with this again before going with a double burner of lesser power. I will probably do it again when I set up the outdoor kitchen. Well played, well designed. Light yet durable. Only one downside is the ridges between cooktop and the ring around. Can be a bit of a trap but less than 1 mm. Mentioning only because not absolute smoothness. Again, well played, satisfaction definitely.

This burner works well, heats good. As others have said though, the control knows get pretty warm while your using it and it does take a bit to cool down.
